Bible Study

Our Bible Study classes provide a wide variety of styles for all ages for learning and growing in our faith. We encourage you to visit as many classes as you wish to find the class that is

right for you.

Sunday Morning classes meet from

9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in classrooms on the 2nd floor.

Adult Classes

Mere Christians

Room #208

Our class adopted this name when they were formed as their first study was, “Mere Christianity” by C.S. Lewis. Our group mainly consists of members over the age of 60, but all are welcome to join us. We follow a video/lecture based format, leaving some room for light discussion. The discussion leader may change through the year. Our study topics range from studies of specific books of the Bible to various Methodist related topics. Currently we are studying what it means to be a Methodist. At times we also address various missional opportunities we can engage in, either monetarily or in person.

Discoverer’s

Room #212

This class is a multigenerational group generally age 50+. The teaching responsibility is shared by

class members weekly. The current curriculum is “Bible in Life” adult study guide by David C. Cook.

Discussion centers on how the Scripture reading relates to personal life with all members having the

opportunity to share if they want.

Acts of Joy

Room #203

A multigenerational group meets for sometimes lively discussion of Biblical topics or specific books of

the Bible. We recently completed a 3 year overview of the Bible chronologically and will begin a

study of the book of Romans on April 12. There is generally a single discussion leader.
