MADISON METHODIST WOMEN

We meet monthly, on the second Monday, in the Sanctuary at 10am.  All ladies of the Church are invited!

The next MMW meeting will be August 11, 2025.

Not meeting in the host summer months doesn't mean we are not keeping our Missions in mind!  During July we will have our School Supplies Drive for our PreSchool and Kindergarden.  Collection bins will be in the office hallway and CLC.  (Note: Alabama Back-to-School  Sales Tax Holiday "begins at 12:01 a.m. on the thrid Friday in July and ends at midnight on the following Sunday.")

In August we will begin talking about our Momma Bags Mission, filling gently used purses with things like purse-size lotion, tissues, a pen and note pad, hand sanitizer, etc.  Great places to find gently used purses (besides your closet) is our local thrift stores.  And Dollar Tree is a good place for other purse things.  Now is not too soon to begin gathering.

SUPPORTING MMW MISSIONS

MMW offers an opportunity for church members to support our local missions.  The fundraiser baskets were filled with A) Auburn, B) Alabama and C) Christmas items. Proceeds benefit missions in the community.

MOMMA BAGS for UPPER SAND MOUNTAIN PARISH

Our November meeting featured assembling Momma Bags. The new and gently-used purses were filled with church members donations of lotions, combs, lip balm, etc.,  things typically found in a purse.  Each purse also got a scarf, new nail polish, a new pair of socks and a set of jewelry. The ladies ministered to at Upper Sand Mountain are always excited to receive a Momma Bag!

SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR MADISON

METHODIST PRESCHOOL

During July, MMW collected school supplies for Madison Methodist Preschool.  Your love and generous hearts were overwhelming!

Thank you for your faithfulness and generous support provided our youngsters by our Preschool Staff.

Gifts of Grace Marketplace Donates to 305 Community

MMW's purpose in hosting Gifts of Grace Marketplace is to raise money for missions.  Here President Carol Moats and Treasurer Dottie Patterson present Susan McGrady, Director of 305 Community (formerly 305 Eighth Street) with 1/6 of event proceeds, a check for $653.83.

SPRING CLEAN

At left is the new Laundry Room at 305 Community - formerly known as 305 8th Street.  During April, MMW collected cleaning and laundry supplies for 305, such as liquid detergents, bleach, dryer sheets, dish detergent, sanitizing wipes and always, sponges and air filters.

YOUR RESPONSE WAS TREMENDOUS!  THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND
